Bookworm: the informal definition of one who is devoted to reading.
Do you wonder what history the LGBT community owns? Who were the leaders? Are there past stories you can relate to? The only way to find out is to read and educate yourself. There is plenty of Pride in the Gay & Lesbian section of Barnes and Noble’s stores. From Milk to Ellen, Sedaris to Savage, you can learn the rich history of of our community!
The other day, I wanted a new pair of jeans. I made sure to shop with friends that support LGBT, so the brand I went with are Lucky Brand Jeans. Under Liz Claiborne, they also received a top ranking in HRC’s LGBT Equality shopping guide.
The workers at the store were very kind and helpful. I was in and out in under 15 minutes. The jeans I purchased are the Slim Bootleg cut in a dark wash.
So once a week, I must clean our home. Two guys living together…things need to get cleaned up!
Thankfully, the products we clean with are a part of the SC Johnson Company. Within their company, they have the GBC-Gay & Lesbian Business Council. In 2003, the GBC of SC Johnson won the Out & Equal Employee Group of the Year Award. This award recognizes groups that are advocating for LGBT equal rights in its workplace and the community at large. Use these products that support you!
So We don’t have a Mercedes yet, big sh*$! So now we are going to walk like we have one. Mercedes have given to the fight for equality and we need to remind them that we thank them for their support, here.
So now I want the shoes. The Italian fashion house Santoni recently designed driving shoes to complement the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. These shoes where even certified by an international driving association for being driving shoes. Ikes! They look hot and will eventually come in all the colors offered in the car. Currently only available in black, we dig the the black. Now to get the black SLS we’ve had our eyes on to go with them. (Via: bornrich)
We are too excited about the Apple tablet and hearing that they are in talks with publishers to secure books for the tablet is such good news. Harper Collins are in talks with Apple according to the Wall Street Journal. We’ll keep you posted on all tablet advances as it’s launch nears. What are you hoping the new tablet does? Will this replace the kindle? Read more about what Apple does for equality here.
Matchbox cars are the best! Not only because they support equality within their work place but their parent company Mattel has even given to equality groups.
Only Matchbox Car’s could make LA traffic look so pretty.
Stella Artois Beer: Tasty and good for equality, now lets get them working for marriage. Great beer out, we know one of us will be partaking this weekend asap.
Contact Stella Artois here on their site or email them support@stellaartois.com. Their site still has the holiday virtual e-card from the option available. Send people e-cards who you forgot over the holiday because nothing says I’m sorry like a f*&#$)! e-card…. forget that just send us one.
More about their good works after the jump. A beer that loves the environment.
When we lived back in the Midwest we used the Walgreens like a grocery store when we were living the late night theatre life. Between rehearsal’s and public transportation Walgreens was there on the way home. Not surprisingly we eventually became friends with the lady’s behind the counter, asking about each other’s families or how the show was progressing. When moving to the West coast we were flattered when lady’s of the Walgreens said they’d miss us. I am sure we were pretty entertaining over the years, they surely were.
Good for Walgreens reaching out to their community at large and have successfully in many ways…learn more after the jump.
