Well, yes, we don’t need to remind you that rain’s colder cousin, snow, is sitting there just waiting for you as you walk to your car or public transit to work. Well, if shoveling/plowing is for you then go to Home Depot! For your last minute Holiday trimmings, check them out!
Nashville was very fortunate to have Home Depot contribute $5,000 for their gay pride parade. In addition, Home Depot set up a craft booth for the children who attended the parade. Not only in Nashville, but kids of Atlanta, Kansas City, Durham, Portland, and San Diego had fun at craft booths sponsored by Home Depot at pro-gay events!
Let us define the title. Hobo’s the restaurant on N.W. 3rd in Portland is a must, not a maybe, a MUST. The menu is divine, staff superb, and they are an equality supporter!
That’s why in Portland, this is the place to plan your next anniversary OR New Year’s par-tay. Now if great food and entertainment isn’t your bag, check out their underground tour options. Our family has foodies and travelers, this place sounds ideal for both.

We hadn’t written about a store in Portland yet, a reader turned us onto The Wine Cellar. What a great shop to learn more about wine and knock all of the house warming gifts off your list. We’ll take wine. The owner has been there for equality and will continue to support our fight in the future. (She’s also real sweet, so stop in and say hi and thank you)
Check out one of their free tastings, we hear that they are really fun! (Fri. 4-7, Sat. 12-5) What a great one stop shop with bar tending services for private parties available, bus tours, online shopping, and actually fun classes. With course titles like Couples Head First Into Wine, Pinot Noir Exposed! or Valentine Crush. Classes for couples who love wine, want to learn more about wine, or just want a fun time out meeting new people. Next time we’re in OR we’ll be stopping by, tell us what wine you grabbed from the cellar this year!
