Your life will be different, your weight will be less, your lungs will exhale a full dose of CO2 and your vision will be 20/20. You may experience these symptoms after your long-term coming out.
When a person (Sen. Roy Ashburn) who voted for anti-Gay propositions, measures, ballots, laws, and rights ends up becoming your own…what response do we give? Our response was anger, frustration, disappointment, and with all that ‘understanding’ has to come into play at some degree. We can all say toldya so, but after that we feel that we must welcome him/her with open arms. I know, I know…sounds very much like cupcakes and rainbows, but if you or I were in that situation, no matter what our past, wouldn’t we hope for some acceptance? This gives the LGBT population another chance to be the ‘bigger person.’ We know what is certain…he will not be the last person to come out. We’ll leave you with that.

Yo, Pete Wentz, we thank you for the following: giving to No on 8, posing for the NO on H8 Champaign, AND (and our fav) taking to the mic and demanding a better world of equality. 
FallOut Boy was great / hell is great- oh we know we’ll hear from the haters and that is fine. If you love rock and want it to be pop (popular) then you love’em! If you think rock is something only you and your overweight friends can bang to in your mom’s basement cause ya’ missed the 70’s… catch up.
As the EqualJunction community how do we say thank you? Here is the solution: write Pete, thank the band, OR if you want to be really brave, a rock star, and so here is your challenge: Look at your ipod. Who did you listen to this week? If you know they have given to equality, write them an email on their fan site thank them. IF you don’t know if your fav musician has done right by your believes LET US KNOW! We have their number and WE WILL CALL THEM. (Seriously, not their mgmt, not their label, the band we’ll call!) We’ll call them, tell them about you, their fan, and ask why they haven’t taken that next step to make their rock, rock for a reason.
