A few years back, when I was doing an off-broadway show in New York City, we were very happy to stay and visit the Chelsea Pines Inn.
Gay owned and operated, Chelsea Pines inhabits a 5 story walk-up row house that was built in the 1850s. Formerly a single family home, the Chelsea Pines has gone through a number of name changes, but still has its pre-Civil War charm. In 1983, the late Sheldon Post and his boyfriend, Jay Lesiger, purchased the property and converted it to an inn which boasts rooms that have their own unique decor and omage to a golden Hollywood star. Mr. Lesiger still owns and operates it along with his current spouse Tom.
My favorite things of the inn were the free chocolate chip cookies they keep out all day and of course their cat who looks over the building and yard. If you are going to NYC, consider staying at the Chelsea Pines, the Chelsea location is great and prices are reasonable!

Our Wedding (above left)
Walking under the awning labeled 1200, many surprises await for you. When we first were looking at places to marry, a recommendation came to us for the Sunset Marquis Hotel. Our jaws dropped at the beauty of this historic place set in the middle of the Sunset Strip.
Escape to this posh location colored with modern tones of browns, bright greens, and glistening tiles of pearlized hues of aqua remind you that you are in a unique and magnificent California Hotel.
We are so happy to be married here and we hope more get the opportunity to do so too.
See what treat they have for Valentine’s Day

Lucky LGBT residents of ‘the Constitution State’ may get married at a venue that offers New England elegance and luxurious spa treatments.
The Mayflower Inn & Spa in Washington, Connecticut has a wedding package named At Last which includes a rehearsal dinner, couples’ massage, garden ceremony, and officiant. A great treat is that the inn also offers 25% off room rates on the couples’ wedding anniversary for life!
