Anita Bryant will be making appearances again, this time in the state of Oklahoma…thanks to Rep. Sally Kern who, with Bryant, shares negative opinions of the Homosexual community. We wonder if pie will be served?

These are the following statements that we do take personally because his words are hurtful, and weighted with a heavy punch only an person of absolute hate could have. This person we are talking about is Mike Huckabee, former Governor of Arkansas and potential US President candidate in 2012 (Yikes).

“I feel homosexuality is an aberrant, unnatural, and sinful lifestyle,” he wrote, in response to a question about gays in the military. He also advocated isolating AIDS patients from the public, saying it was necessary to confine “carriers of this plague.”

“Marriage has historically never meant anything other than a man and a woman. It has never meant two men, two women, a man and his pet, or a man and a whole herd of pets.”

“That would be like saying, well there’s there are a lot of people who like to use drugs so let’s go ahead and accommodate those who want to use drugs. There are some people who believe in incest, so we should accommodate them. There are people who believe in polygamy, should we accommodate them?”

So with all his vomiting of stupidity, he likened same-sex marriage to drug abuse, incest, bestiality, and polygamy. These statements have no place; and most likely he is Gay bashing for ultra-conservative $$$’s. We may take it personal, but we must just brush them off our shoulder, however, what is frightening is that he is the top contender for Republican nominee for 2012.

According to the facebook page: Let Constance Take Her Girlfriend to Prom, an unfortunate thing happened. “On Friday night, Constance and her date went to the prom the school had said would be held for all IAHS juniors and seniors, only to find an event that was very sparsely attended. Constance tried to make the best of it and had a nice evening with the other students from her school who attended, but is of course disappointed that so few of her classmates were there.”

What really happened was that the prom that was said to allow everyone to attend from Itawamba High was a complete fake. Only several people showed up at the Fulton Country Club including Constance and her date. There was a secret location outside the county for the ‘real’ prom for all other students.

We are speechless! This is HATE shown by Itawamba Agricultural High School and those in charge should hold their heads in absolute shame for doing this to a student. They lied to Constance and to the rest of the country who eagerly hoped for justice to prevail for ALL students.

We called Itawamba Agricultural High School, and I had them transfer me to the main office and I asked who do I speak to in regards to prom/extra-curricular activities. The lady responded “I don’t know” Then we asked, “What do you know about the fake prom and student Constance McMillen” she said “I don’t know”, then just rudely  hung up.

I called back-We want to know what happened!

A man answered this time and I asked for media relations. The lady with the same voice answered and I asked again regarding Constance McMillen and the prom and she said “I don’t know and I have no comment”.

What a shame that they would do this to their own students. They didn’t just lie to Constance, but the taught all their students to be hateful. If you want to call their main office to ask questions call 662-862-3104

Did you know that the Badlands National Park in South Dakota contains the world’s richest Oligocene epoch fossil beds, dating 23 to 35 million years old?

Also, did you know that HB 1144, the Anti-Discrimination bill failed in committee today? A sad day for both South Dakota and Virginia.

HB 1144 is the bill to amend current South Dakota law to add sexual orientation and gender identity to the state’s anti-discrimination laws. The passing of this bill would have been so important because it would have protected LGBT workers in South Dakota. Unfortunately, South Dakota’s House Health & Human Services Committee tabled HB 1144. The vote was 8-4.

Did you know that the state of Virginia has had 3 capital cities: Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Richmond? Also, did you know that the current Governor, Governor Bob McDonnell just stripped LGBT state workers of job protections? Both are true!

The state of Virginia HAD protections for LGBT state workers prior to the governor’s new order which deliberately leaves sexual orientation and gender identity out.  Therefore discrimination for LGBT state workers in the state of Virginia is NOT prohibited. We are just going to call that a clear message of hate.
