Koffi

Koffi

If you are in Palm Springs, or will be visiting soon, try Koffi Coffeehouse. The views from the coffeehouse are amazing. The service is very friendly and the coffee and treats are very, very good. TripOut Gay travel recommends you stop there and we do to!

WI has found some Harmony, is there a cozy space near you?

December 8, 2009

The Harmony Café has two locations in Wisconsin; one in Fox Valley, and one in Green Bay; both have great calendar events coming up that you should check out and tell us about.

The Harmony Café is a unique space with an honorable pledge, within their declaration they state:

“I believe: that ALL people should be valued and appreciated; that every person is a treasure worthy of dignity & respect; that diversity in humans is a strength;coffeecupbeansthat by pre-judging people and by holding biases, I will miss the beauty within each individual person.”

What a great pledge! All groups and community spaces can learn from their acceptance.  We often find ourselves working with individuals who may or may not share our views and values, however when the respect for each individuals self worth is there, real progress can begin.

What a great idea the founders of the Harmony Café had; think about contacting them if you feel their model would be a success in our neighborhoods.  Sometimes providing an accepting space to meet is the first step-not to mention that their rooms look great.  What a wonderful space for the organizations around these locations to meet.

Let us know how the spaces have worked for you?

New Good: The Magic Mouse by Mac

November 30, 2009

MagicMouse

We were out playing at the Apple Store, when we were given a demo of the new magic mouse.  We will definitely be seeing one stuffed in our stocking this year.  Wireless with a multitouch sensor and this gesture control that makes you feel like a Jedi.  When you just wisk your fingers for control you’ll find yourself saying to unwanted windows, “these aren’t the droids I’m looking for.”

For only $69.00, it’s definitely worth hooking somebody up this holiday.

DON’T forget to thank the good people at Mac, either in store, or on the comments section, that your are buying them because of their repeated support of equality for all and stance against Prop 8 last year.
