With all Do Respect: Good Friday Blooper

April 22, 2011

God bless the choir that kept singing. Ok, again as we have stated before, 1/2 of us is Catholic and today its Good Friday. Many of us know this is the day Jesus was crucified and died for our sins. The church production below probably isn’t the best adaptation, however, we would have contracted a case of the church giggles if we were there…

Father Geoff Farrow, Why We’d Plug a Blog…

April 18, 2010

geoff

Father Geoff Farrow is one of the bravest men we know.  If you don’t know who he is, take some time during your day to get to know him better. He writes a great blog, speaks publicly, and has rallied for equality.  Equal Junction is looking forward to interviewing Father Geoff Farrow on camera. Look for that, and if you have a question you’d like us to ask, contact us here.

Denial of Education?

March 5, 2010

crossMy Catholic brethren need to knock this off. I love my religion, however some are throwing stones at a young child who is just trying to attend pre-school.

The Denver Archdiocese are banning a pre-schooler from returning to school next year because his parents are Lesbians. The archdiocese stated that his family does not reflect the school’s beliefs and policy. The Archdiocese said, “Homosexual couples living together as a couple are in disaccord with Catholic teaching.”

School staff who asked to remain anonymous said they are disgusted by the archdiocese’s actions.

On paper, unfortunately, it is legal for the archdiocese to do this, but again, this instigates more disrespect for a religion because it has turned its back on an innocent child.

I always thought of God and Jesus as teachers without borders who taught many and all without an acceptance committee attached.
