About Us

EqualJunction.com is the hub where you can shop the way you believe: in equality for all.
Hi!
After 5 years together, we were very fortunate to marry during California’s brief stint with equality in 2008. On that amazing day we joined the other 18,000 legally married, same-sex couples of California. Due to the passage of the infuriating Proposition 8, our mission to seek justice grew to make sure all who desire marriage, can be legally married with absolute equality.
For years, we have dedicated ourselves to the fight for equality and this site was the next logical step. The LGBT community spends in excess of 700 billion dollars a year and our mission is to make sure those billions of LGBT dollars are shopping with friends. LGBT’s dollars should work with those that support our causes. EqualJunction.com entertains and informs our community and allies about the companies, large and small, working to earn our hard-earned dollar.
Here is what we are committed to making. EqualJunction.com is where commerce meets equality. EqualJunction is where our straight friends will join us in making trends. Where two gay guys will tell ya’ the where, what, how and why to buy from the companies that support equality. EqualJunction.com hopes to be a place for the community to create more opportunities. Change is coming and our money needs to march with us.
A LITTLE OF OUR HISTORY
After moving in together after one date, our friends joke that we’re living the lesbian dream. We spent that first night arguing Russian literature while eating Chicago deep-dish pizza and later that year a proposal was made. Since then we’ve continually fought for equality. Now, almost 7 years later, after getting the dog and moving from Chicago to LA, we centered our focus on working together to create change in our community’s spending. So contact us and tell us what your favorite things are and why they are good for our community and future of equality. We thank you for visiting our site! Join us on facebook or email us at info@equaljunction.com.
In Pride,
The Cermak-Ochoa Family
