So, since we will be celebrating 2011 in a few days, we must remember to be safe and have options. If you do plan on drinking, remember there are public transit options, designated drivers, taxis, and old-fashioned slumber parties. Be safe this year and the next.
Sometimes we receive gifts that are unwanted, non-returnable, or can replace something old. Or, you may feel that you still want to be giving rather than receiving. What do you do? Donate!
Simple tip: locate your local LGBT center that is in need of donations and find out what they need and if you can help them. How great will that be? New Year, New and thoughtful you!
The Brisbane Times of Brisbane, Australia has some good tips on what to do with those unwanted gifts.
From our family to yours, we wish you a Happy Kwanzaa!
Kwanzaa is celebrated each year from December 26th to Jan 1st in honor of universal African heritage and culture. During that week, celebrators light the kinara and reflect to observe the holiday.
