When DADT strikes LGBT’s at HOME
LGBT military personnel are not the only ones in trouble of losing their position. LGBT discrimination in the workplace occurs everyday. Sometimes, we live in a bubble and don’t realize that employees just suspected of being LGBT can be discriminated against and/or terminated.
Why should LGBT’s not be allowed to participate in conversations as others do? At work, a straight female can talk about her husband/boyfriend, and vise versa. Straight couples can openly discuss dating, wedding, and baby conversations and not worry about being fired.
With no job protections, LGBT’s can be fired just by being who they are or even just under suspect! Take action and demand justice!
Call Nancy Pelosi at 202-225-4965 and demand that she brings ENDA (The Employment Non-Discrimination Act – HR 3017) to the floor for a vote this month!
