Four Arrested in NYC Marriage Protest

Sorry to hear there were arrests- but good for the group Queer Rising in NYC. Four of the groups members were arrested this morning after chaining themselves to the door of NY marriage licenses office. They blocked the door while other same sex couples were denied the right to marry inside. This protest was well planned and a successful act of civil disobedience. We have been apart of such protests in the past and as scary as they can be, it is so important to plan ahead and a goal. Arrests are usually inevitable. As part of the 18,000 married here in California we applaud their actions- everyone should be fighting for equality in their own way, this is their way.
