Walgreens Doing Some Good, Can DO MORE FOR US
When we lived back in the Midwest we used the Walgreens like a grocery store when we were living the late night theatre life. Between rehearsal’s and public transportation Walgreens was there on the way home. Not surprisingly we eventually became friends with the lady’s behind the counter, asking about each other’s families or how the show was progressing. When moving to the West coast we were flattered when lady’s of the Walgreens said they’d miss us. I am sure we were pretty entertaining over the years, they surely were.

Walgreens created a truly inclusive and giving corporate model. Now there is always room for improvement and I have read your reservations with this company, however tell us the national pharmacy chain trying to do more? With over 7,000 locations nation wide Walgreens is able to do a lot of good. Though they have not gotten involved with the marriage issue they have given to many GLTB and AIDS causes while also adapting their internal corporate structure to receive a 100 score from the HRC.
They have a very detailed site dedicated to diversity and one to social responsibility, BUT contact them here and tell them how much you shop there, use the pharmacy, etc. and why if they really want to positively effect change in their community marriage must be a right for all.
