More Elected Gay Politicians!

December 29, 2009

HarveyMilk

The NY Times reported “There are currently at least 445 openly gay and lesbian people holding elected office in the United States, up from 257 eight years ago, according to the Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund, a political group that supports gay candidates.”

As we approach a new decade, what changes/advances do you think or hope will happen? Our wish: to enjoy the same rights in our home state of Illinois that we do as one of the 18,000 couples in California. Another wish: for there to be more than 18,000 married gay and lesbian couples in California.
