Sign the order, repeal DADT and watch our amazing armed service men and women show the civilian communities how true equality can work for everyone.
With a new nephew in the family it’s hard to think of him growing up in a world where these numbers continue to rise. I hope we don’t have to wait to for the next generation to stop this.
Alan Cumming just received an OBE from Princess Anne at Buckingham Palace, CONGRATS! This is the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire He wore a kilt in his family’s pattern and looked smashing as always. He has done so much for our community, in the UK and here in the states. He has worked for AIDS charities, fights against homophobia, worked with The Empire State Pride Agenda (which fights for GLBT equality in the empire state) and provided at least us with hours of entertainment. Love everything about him- from Cabaret to the Mask II. He’s just so freakin’ sexy too. Hopefully we’ll make his one man show here in LA that is returning for a short run, head it’s hilarious, hint hint husband.

We HATE cruise gym’s! Running the canyon can get boring. Even the pool loses its refreshing qualities at times… its shared. Now video games have come to the rescue! EA Sports video games have been good to us gay’s, donated to fight for equality and earned a 100 on the HRC shopping guide. Their new work out game for the Wii rocks and solves our work out conundrum. The game is the EA Sports Active More Workouts, which includes new workout routines for burning calories and getting trim.
Oh the gay wedding ring hasn’t earned the back off respect it deserves yet to work as a gym rat deterrent. Now we can get sweaty at home…. Working out. Some hated this game’s integration, but we loved it. We had bands, a ball, and mats, so we felt comfortable with all the routines. Get to a store near you and try it now, we bet you get as hooked as we did. It is a personal trainer in a box, and helps you track and reach your summer body goals.

One of our leaders you should know in American Politics. Mixner paved the road so many of us have now found ourselves marching on. Mixner’s story includes civil rights marches in the 60’s, author, once jailed, and fought to end the Vietnam War, end segregation, and secure rights for gays and lesbians.
Mixner won many battles such as No on Proposition 6; he was named one of Newsweek’s most powerful gays, and pledges that one-day LGBT people will see the end of inequality in America. We’ve had the privilege of being introduced and he is just as kind and sweet as we could have ever imagined.

What did the Prominent Catholic Bishop say to the Prominent Catholic Politician…No Communion for You!
Personally, as a Catholic, I think this is sad to restrict communion from a parishioner. What is this? Grade School? Ok, we all have our differences when it comes to the serious issue of abortion rights. Of course the Catholic church is going to have issues with Rep. Patrick Kennedy’s support on abortion rights, but churches, and all the wonderful places of faith are supposed to be places of reflection and peace; for the love of all, lets get rid of the childishness and keep it that way!
In a place like Florida, where historically equality for the GLBT community seemed a distant dream, a new, openly gay mayor was sworn in for Broward County. Broward County will become one of the largest jurisdictions within the United States to have any openly gay executive in office with a population of over 1.8 million. Mr.Ken Keechl assumed the office and we will continue to follow his time in office.
Keep it going Florida! Make sure he hears your voice, congratulate him on his leadership, or simply send your well wishes; EMAIL the new mayor of Broward County.
1/2 of our family is Catholic. I was raised Catholic, went to Catholic school for 9 years, and grew up a God Loving/God Fearing Man. I still believe in God to this day.
Wouldn’t it be amazing if this religion that taught me so much love, was able to extend that love again? Let the gays in as gays. I will always understand that there will be people, groups and individuals, who will disagree with who I am (as humans we knit-pick at a person until there is more than nothing left in that person’s being).
My overall belief, the Catholic Church needs to keep evolving. Lets challenge the Catholic Church to adhering its puzzle piece to modern society. Maybe instead of a child going to Catholic School, maybe the Pope needs to go to Reality School (s#&t! I shouldn’t give ideas to VH1).
Challenge: Volunteer at a church or place of faith this holiday season. Think of how many hearts you can change by sharing your love. If there is any intolerance-just keep attending, lead by example, educate equality to your neighbors, intolerance should not stop you from keeping your faith!
